Rack Mount Mono Tube Front End Processor for Guitar
The Fat Funker from TL Audio is a tube front end for guitar, ideal for live or studio use. With six valve stages, the Fat Funker delivers warmth, depth, and clarity to your sound. Compression and EQ stages are available with full front-panel controls, and an analog VU meter displays your level. 1/4″ and XLR inputs are provided for connecting your guitar and microphone, and additional inputs with selectable input levels are also provided for other equipment.
A -30dB pad is provided and the XLR mic input has 48V phantom power for connecting your favorite condenser mic. A 1/4″ sidechain insert point is also included. An EQ Pre button allows you to place the EQ section in front of the compressor in the signal chain, so you can get the sound you want. If digital output is required, the optional DO-2 card (available separately) provides a coaxial S/PDIF output.
